Two Colors Waterfall (North of Sumatera - Indonesia)



The Waterfall

Two Colors Waterfall or also known as Bitu Sibolangit Ponds Waterfall  (North of Sumatera – Indonesia) has a height of about 75 feet and taller be 1475 m above sea level. This waterfall is located in the upper reaches of the Sinembah 1 and formed by Sibayak eruptions hundreds of years ago .


This waterfall has two colors, blue and white. The blue one was very cold, with green mossy cliffs around it. The white one has a clear water and warm. The both of waterfall is separated by a small waterfall near cliff trimmer .

These attractions may seem unique. People call this waterfall as Two Colors Waterfall because it has two colors. The waterfall coming down from the river will be collected into a small lake and this is where the water has two colors, light blue and grayish-white . Having traced this waterfall apparently sourced from the eruptions of Sibayak Mountain that form the stream that flowed sulfur ( sulfur ), which later united with the water catchment forest so be cool watery blue. Uniquely, the waterfall does not remove the smell of sulfur. However never drank the water. Moreover, the existence of this hidden waterfall in the tropical rain forest in the middle of the Sibayak I and Sibayak II forest with altitude 1475 meters above sea level. Accessibility

Mileage within 4 hours drive from the city of Medan, where the 1 hour drive to the camping grounds Sibolangit and 3 hours drive to the waterfall is located. The road condition is very difficult to get there (can only be reached by foot) with impassable terrain up and down the hill , into the forest and past several ravines .

There are several paths that can be taken to reach this waterfall. Generally the path that has been chosen is a path that starts from the Sibolangit Campgrounds in Bandar Baru. Starting from this place visitors can use a motor vehicle with a distance of about 2 Km to reach the post (Warung Bang Nuel) . The next trip could only be passed on foot. If you've never been to the Blue Lake should use the services of a guide.
  
By taking a ride down the field and were in the middle of the forest, we have to be extra careful especially a lot of the abyss on either side. Early into the forest we would pass an old Dam former Dutch heritage flowing creek. Then we will take the road to climb. And with more or less took about 3 hours we will arrive at the location of the waterfall.
